Cooling Vest Size Guide — How to Choose the Right Ice Vest Size
Cooling Vest Size Guide — How to Choose the Right Ice Vest Size
Getting the right size is the single most important factor in how well your Arctic Heat ice vest performs. The vest must fit firmly against the body — the closer the gel panels sit to your skin, the more effective the cooling. A vest that is too loose will not cool as efficiently.
How to measure
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal and snug. Use this measurement to find your size in the chart below.
Size chart — chest measurement in inches
| Size | Chest (inches) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| XXS | 29" | White vest only |
| XS | 33" | Blue and white |
| S | 35" | Blue and white |
| M | 37" | Blue and white |
| L | 39" | Blue and white |
| XL | 41" | Blue and white |
| XXL | 43" | Blue and white |
| 3XL | 45" | Blue and white |
| 4XL | 47" | Blue and white |
| 5XL | 49" | Blue and white |
If you are between sizes
Always choose the smaller size. The vest must fit firmly for the gel panels to make proper contact with your skin. A vest that gapes or sags will not cool as effectively.
The vest should feel like a compression base layer
Think of the fit like a close-fitting base layer or compression shirt — snug, not loose. Most people wear it directly against the skin or under a single light layer. It should not restrict breathing or movement, but it should not move around either.
Can I wear it under clothing?
Yes. The slim profile is designed for wearing under a shirt, jersey, uniform, or light jacket. It will not make outer clothing wet when used frozen or refrigerated.
